Celebrating Saint Philomena in Nocera Superiore The celebration in honor of Saint Philomena, held at the chapel of Saint Philomena in Nocera Superiore on Via Taverne, ended just a few days ago. They were two days full of emotion and faith. We opened the festivities with the raising of Saint Philomena’s image and the opening of the chapel doors. We welcomed many devoted people, curious and eager to learn more about the story of the princess of paradise. Many children approached the little Saint, asking why that young girl was a Saint, and we saw in their eyes that endless tenderness to learn. The novena was recited by Gerardo Longobardi and preceded the celebrations. On August 26 we had the presence of our Rector, as well as custodian of Saint Philomena’s body at the Sanctuary, in the chapel, and he officiated the Holy Mass. At the end of Mass the chapel was filled with the beautiful voices of the choir of Madonna della Libera Stabiese, conducted by Prof. ENRICO VICINANZA, who gifted Saint Philomena the concert and the devotees many emotions. A highlight was the presence of the Archconfraternity of Saint Philomena and participation in the renewal of membership, which was celebrated by the Rector. I noticed in the members’ eyes a remarkable spiritual devotion, proud to belong to Saint Philomena. The celebrations continued on the 27th with the presence of the parish priest of the Community, Don Giuseppe Perano, who officiated Mass in honor of the Saint, concluding with fireworks. I am truly satisfied, as head of Center 66, with the good outcome and the participation of so many people, sensing a desire for faith in God. The path toward paradise is long and each of us, through prayer, will try to win it. Saint Philomena is more relevant than ever because her teachings have traced unbreakable values: sincere and unconditional love, and principles of faith and spirit. Long live Saint Philomena. Célébration de Sainte Philomène à Nocera Superiore La fête en l'honneur de Santa Filomena qui s'est déroulée dans la chapelle de Santa Filomena in Nocera Superiore, Via Taverne, s'est achevée il y a quelques jours. Ce furent deux jours pleins d'émotion et de foi. Nous avons ouvert les célébrations avec l'élévation du tableau de Sainte Philomène et l'ouverture des portes de la chapelle. Nous avons accueilli de nombreux fidèles curieux et désireux d'en savoir plus sur l'histoire de la princesse du paradis. De nombreux enfants se sont approchés de la Santina pour demander pourquoi cette jeune fille était une sainte, et nous avons vu dans leurs regards cette infinie tendresse d'apprendre. La neuvaine a été récitée par Gerardo Longobardi et a précédé les célébrations. Le 26 août, notre recteur, gardien du corps de Sainte Philomène du Sanctuaire, était présent dans la chapelle et a officié la Sainte Messe. À la fin de la messe, la chapelle a été inondée par les belles voix de la chorale Madonna della Libera Stabiese, dirigée par le professeur ENRICO VICINANZA, qui a offert à Sainte Philomène le concert et aux fidèles de nombreuses émotions. Le point culminant a été la présence de l'archiconfraternité de Sainte-Filomène et la participation au renouvellement des membres célébré par le recteur. Celebração de Santa Filomena em Nocera Superiore A festa em honra de Santa Filomena, realizada na capela de Santa Filomena em Nocera Superiore, na Via Taverne, terminou há alguns dias. Foram dois dias cheios de emoção e de fé. Abrimos as celebrações com o levantamento do quadro de Santa Filomena e a abertura das portas da capela. Recebemos muitos devotos curiosos e desejosos de conhecer melhor a história da princesa do paraíso. Muitas crianças se aproximaram da Santina perguntando por que aquela jovem era santa, e vimos em seus olhares aquela infinita ternura de aprender. A novena foi recitada por Gerardo Longobardi e precedeu as celebrações. No dia 26 de agosto, tivemos a presença do nosso Reitor, e também guardião do corpo de Santa Filomena do Santuário, na capela e ele presidiu à Santa Missa. No final da missa, a capela foi inundada pelas belas vozes do coro Madonna della Libera Stabiese, dirigido pelo Prof. ENRICO VICINANZA, que proporcionou a Santa Filomena o concerto e aos devotos muitas emoções. O ponto alto foi a presença da arquiconfraria de Santa Filomena e a participação na renovação da filiação que foi celebrada pelo Reitor. Percebi nos olhos dos membros uma devoção espiritual marcante, orgulhosos de pertencerem a Santa Filomena. As celebrações continuaram no dia 27 com a presença do pároco da Comunidade, Don Giuseppe Perano, que celebrou a missa em honra da Santa, e terminaram com o fogo de artifício. Estou verdadeiramente satisfeito, como responsável pelo Centro 66, com o sucesso e a participação de tantas pessoas, sentindo um desejo de fé em Deus. O caminho para o paraíso é longo e cada um de nós, através da oração, tentará conquistá-lo.
