A year rich in attendance
Dearest brothers and sisters of the family of Saint Philomena,
we are living days full of grace in this 2023 feast; this year too I wish to send you a warm greeting together with my most sincere congratulations. I hope that the feast and the various celebrations of these days may be an opportunity to honor Saint Philomena, virgin and martyr, and an opportunity to inspire our hearts to live a charism that Saint Philomena, even today, can give to all her devotees, so as to savor the gifts that God freely bestows.
We began the month of August with the Eucharistic Statio in the neighborhoods, meeting many wonderful people and praying together with them. On August 6 we solemnly enthroned the miraculous statue of Saint Philomena, placing it on a new throne at the foot of the high altar, an exceptional day with the presence of numerous local devotees and others coming from various countries. And on August 10 we commemorated the translation of Saint Philomena from Rome to Mugnano del Cardinale; on August 11 we solemnly celebrated the liturgical feast inside the shrine that keeps the sacred body; and August 13 was the day when, in the morning, about 2000 battenti arrived at the shrine of Saint Philomena with great emotion and devotion, laying at the foot of the sacred altar their prayer intention. This year there was also a numerical increase in their presence. In the afternoon of the same day the miraculous statue of Saint Philomena went out in procession through the streets of Mugnano del Cardinale, welcomed by many families who waited at the door of their homes to express in their hearts, once again, their prayer.
I thank the good God for all that He has given us in these days of great grace. I am sure that He has worked many conversions in the hearts of those who made themselves available to welcome the presence of the Lord. May Saint Philomena lead you swiftly toward Jesus, to savor the beauty of life as a gift for all of us.

Chers frères et sœurs de la famille de sainte Philomène,
nous vivons des jours de grâce en cette fête de 2023; cette année encore, je souhaite vous adresser un salut affectueux ainsi que mes plus sincères félicitations. J'espère que la fête et les diverses célébrations de ces jours seront une occasion d'honorer sainte Philomène, vierge et martyre, et une occasion d'inspirer nos cœurs à vivre un charisme que sainte Philomène peut encore donner aujourd'hui à tous ses fidèles, pour savourer les dons que Dieu accorde gratuitement.
Nous avons commencé le mois d'août avec la Statio eucharistique dans les quartiers, en rencontrant beaucoup de belles personnes et en priant ensemble avec elles. Le 6 août, nous avons solennellement intronisé la statue miraculeuse de sainte Philomène en la plaçant sur un nouveau trône au pied du maître-autel, une journée exceptionnelle avec la présence de nombreux fidèles locaux et de divers pays. Le 10 août, nous avons commémoré la translation de sainte Filomène de Rome à Mugnano del Cardinale, le 11 août, nous avons célébré solennellement la fête liturgique à l'intérieur du sanctuaire qui abrite le corps sacré, et le 13 août a été le jour où, dans la matinée, quelque 2 000 fidèles sont arrivés au sanctuaire de sainte Filomène avec beaucoup d'émotion et de dévotion, déposant leurs intentions de prière au pied de l'autel sacré. Cette année, le nombre de participants a également augmenté. L'après-midi du même jour, la statue miraculeuse de sainte Philomène est sortie en procession dans les rues de Mugnano del Cardinale, accueillie par de nombreuses familles qui attendaient à la porte de leur maison pour exprimer à nouveau leurs prières dans leur cœur.
Je remercie le Seigneur pour tout ce qu'il nous a donné en ces jours de grande grâce. Je suis sûr qu'il a opéré de nombreuses conversions dans le cœur de ceux qui se sont rendus disponibles pour accueillir la présence du Seigneur. Que sainte Philomène vous conduise rapidement vers Jésus pour goûter la beauté de la vie comme un don pour nous tous.

Queridos irmãos e irmãs da família de Santa Filomena,
estamos a viver dias cheios de graça neste dia de festa de 2023; também este ano desejo enviar-vos uma saudação afectuosa juntamente com as minhas mais sinceras felicitações. Desejo que a festa e as várias celebrações destes dias sejam uma ocasião para honrar Santa Filomena, virgem e mártir, e uma oportunidade para inspirar os nossos corações a viver um carisma que Santa Filomena ainda pode dar a todos os seus devotos, para saborear os dons que Deus concede gratuitamente.
Começámos o mês de agosto com a statio eucarística nos bairros, encontrando muitas pessoas bonitas e rezando com elas. No dia 6 de agosto entronizámos solenemente a imagem milagrosa de Santa Filomena, colocando-a num novo trono aos pés do altar-mor, um dia excecional com a presença de muitos devotos locais e de vários países. E no dia 10 de agosto comemorámos a transladação de Santa Filomena de Roma para Mugnano del Cardinale, no dia 11 de agosto celebrámos solenemente a festa litúrgica no interior do santuário que alberga o corpo sagrado, e no dia 13 de agosto foi o dia em que, de manhã, cerca de 2000 devotos chegaram ao santuário de Santa Filomena com grande emoção e devoção, colocando as suas intenções de oração aos pés do altar sagrado. Este ano também se registou um aumento numérico de presenças. Na tarde do mesmo dia, a imagem milagrosa de Santa Filomena saiu em procissão pelas ruas de Mugnano del Cardinale, acolhida por muitas famílias que esperavam à porta de suas casas para, mais uma vez, expressar suas orações em seus corações.
Agradeço ao bom Deus por tudo o que nos tem dado nestes dias de grande graça. Tenho a certeza de que Ele operou muitas conversões nos corações daqueles que se disponibilizaram para acolher a presença do Senhor. Que Santa Filomena vos conduza rapidamente a Jesus para saborear a beleza da vida como dom para todos nós.
